Spiritual Direction is an opportunity for you to enter into a sacred space and share your journey with someone who is trained in the process. A spiritual director is someone who will receive you with reverence and love and help you to notice and draw closer to the Living God who is present in all your experiences. It's not so much about being "directed" as it is about being "invited" to have a more conscious experience of God. Spiritual direction is a specialized ministry. It is a graced way one believer serves another. The process happens with looking at everyday, ordinary experiences. It is discussing a dream, looking at events that seem "too" coincidental, events that surprise or impact you deeply. In these times we see God's urging, calling, inviting and confirming. You can expect the director to keep the focus on you and your spiritual journey - your relationship with God. Some of the reasons people seek spiritual direction are to: The spiritual directors at Sts. Peter & Paul Parish are parishioners who have been trained in the Audire program at the San Pedro Center in Winter Park. (For more information on Audire training, go to www.sanpedrocenter.org.) We are members of Spiritual Directors International and keep abreast of continued training and conferences in the field. We are bound by the guidelines for ethical conduct of Spiritual Directors International. Sessions are private and confidential. They are usually scheduled for an hour each month. As a ministry of Sts. Peter & Paul, there is no cost involved when seeing one of the directors listed below. If, however, you would like someone outside of the parish, you can call San Pedro Center at 407-671-6322 for a referral. In this case, you may need to discuss payment arrangements.
