The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Family fraternal service organization, founded in 1882 on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity.  Our founder, Father Michael J. McGivney, was a young parish priest who is now on his way to sainthood.  Today the order numbers over 1.9 million members.  In 2018 our charitable giving of $187.5 million set a record for the 20th straight year.  In addition, we achieved our highest level of service at 76.7 million volunteer hours.

Saints’ Peter and Paul is one of the parishes supported by the Monsignor Bishop Council 2112, located behind Catholic Charities on Semoran Blvd in Orlando.  The Council just celebrated its 100th anniversary and has over 300 active members including a good number from Saints Peter & Paul.  Our council has many programs dedicated to our Faith, to our Family, our Community, and in support of Life.  We have a long and distinguished history, and if you are a Catholic gentleman in good standing with the church, we hope that you will consider joining us in our work.  We invite you to click on the Member Application link on this page to join online or contact Bob Hurley, your parish representative from Council 2112 for more information.

The Knights of Columbus was founded after Father McGivney saw a serious need for financial assistance for families in which the husband/father, usually the only breadwinner in the family, lost life or limb.  The original members established a financial assistance fund for the security of the members’ families who had found themselves in desperate need.  This fund has since grown into one of the highest rated insurance companies in the world, offering life insurance, disability insurance, retirement savings, and long-term care insurance to its members.  Though not required, all members are entitled to purchase insurance products from the Knights of Columbus.

While most Knight’s Councils are associated with individual parishes Council 2112 was founded years before the churches it now supports making it a blessing.   Council 2112 has many Knights at Saints Peter and Paul and you see them as ushers, EMs, greeters, readers and ministers to the sick; you find them at CRHP, scripture study, and serving pancakes with the Men’s Club; you even see them celebrating Mass.  Please consider joining this great group of active Catholic men to help others while having some fun.
